on a regular basis. I'm a paramedic in the Detroit area and a lot of cops know what I drive. We always talk about our cars and whatnot. It comes in handy let me tell you!! I was driving on I96 tonight, giving my Z some exercise when I see flashing lights behind me. A county sheriff walks up to my car and asks for the usual (license, registration, and proof). DAMNIT I thought. I don't know him. He walks back to his car and starts doing his business. What pulls up not even 2 min later? Yeah, another county patrol car. After a few moments the other officer comes to my window. Thank God I know him. "Hey xxxx. How's it goin?," I say. (I'm withholding his name). "Hey, James," he says. "You know why you got pulled over don't you?" "Speeding?" I said with kind of a grin. "The other unit clocked you at 103." Before I could say anything, he says "If you had a twin turbo he probably wouldn't have caught you." No joke. That is actually what he told me! He is a pretty cool guy but I never thought he would say that. AND....he didn't even give me a ticket. Not even for 5 over. He just told my to try and slow down. The perks of this job are priceless. ;) Just thought I would share. And this was one day after Drk93TT and I and a few friends went out to eat at BWW's where the local police were circling the parking lot, staring us down. We both had our Z's but we were parked. Too bad I don't know any of them though. Kind of funny.
